Haverhill – Cynthia J. (Simpson) Danahy, 65, passed away October 18 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen surrounded by her loving family.Born in Derry, NH she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Rita (Lavoie) Simpson. She attended Tenny High School in Methuen and was a graduate of the Class of 1969. She then attended the Lawrence Vocational Nursing Program and became a licensed nurse. Cynthia was employed at various hospitals in the Merrimack Valley and at Hampstead Hospital in Hampstead, NH. She enjoyed playing bingo as much as she could. She also liked to play computer games. She liked to watch her favorite TV shows and was a movie buff. Most important to Cynthia was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Cynthia is survived by her children, Christopher D. Arsenault of Lowell Andrew T. Danahy of Raymond, NH Tracy J. Phillips of Fall River, MA her siblings, Wayne L. Simpson and his wife Phyllis of Bradford Donald C. Simpson and his wife Colleen of Hampstead, NH her grandchildren, Dean Young, Todd Goodwin, Meghan Adams and Alexis Arsenault and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Sandra L. Houle and brother Michael A. Ghilliotti. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, October 22 from 10:00AM until 1:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will follow at 1:00PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private. A special thanks to Eileen and Lori Simpson.
