Evelyn A. (Malone) Morin, 87, of Haverhill, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice house in Haverhill, surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness.Born in Haverhill on Sept. 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Katherine (McCloskey) Malone. An active lifelong parishioner of St. James Church, she was a graduate of St. James Grammar and St. James High School, Class of 1941, and earned her degree from Salem State University, graduating in 1945. She met her future husband while employed at the former H.L. Green store in downtown Haverhill. She enjoyed music and was an accomplished violinist.A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she leaves her beloved husband of 58 years, John J. Morin children, David, Maynard, John, Margaret Abells and her husband Don, Daniel, Michael, and Tina McComis and her husband Geoph a brother, Joseph G. “Gerry” Malone and his wife Donna three sisters, Sister Mildred Malone, CSJ, Sister Mary Malone, CSJ, and Sister Patricia Malone, CSJ. She was predeceased by her brother, Rev. Maynard T. Malone, and sister, Dorothy Cahill.ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Route 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill.
