Joan Katherine Hart, 82, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center in Haverhill, after a lengthy illness.Born in Haverhill on Jan. 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Isabel (Murphy) Hart. She attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1946.Upon her graduation from Haverhill High, Joan went to work as a line worker for Western Electric, working 35 years before retiring in 1993. A member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Joan was also a member of St. James Parish in Haverhill. She was a doting aunt who absolutely loved spending much time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, never forgetting a birthday, holiday, or anniversary. Joan will be sadly missed by those who loved and knew her, but her memory will live on with them forever.Joan is survived by seven nephews, including her devoted caretaker, William J. “Bud” Hart of Haverhill, Michael J. Hart of Haverhill, Joseph Hart, of Haverhill, David R. Hart of Haverhill, Thomas Hart of Haverhill, George Lennon of Haverhill, and James Henneberry of Connecticut four nieces, Mary P. (Hart) O’Keefe, of Arlington, Bernadette (Hart) Cote, of Tolland, Conn., Judith (Henneberry) McGill, of Connecticut, and Jane (Henneberry) Dyer of Connecticut as well as several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, William J. Hart and Richard T. Hart two sisters, Dorothy Lennon and Virginia Henneberry and her nephew, Kevin J. Hart.ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Route 125), Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose Street, Haverhill.
