Joanne D. (Ruocco) Brisson, 74, of Bradford, died Thursday, December 22, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, surrounded by her family, after an illness.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Perry B.and Sophie R. (Schena) Ruocco. Joanne attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a Graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1955. Primarily a homemaker, prior to raising a family, Joanne was employed as a Head Teller and Manager in the local banking industry. The most rewarding job however was that of being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed nothing more than time spent with her family, dancing with her husband, and a friendly game of cards.She leaves her beloved husband of forty-five years, Edward J. Brisson, of Bradford, three daughters, Lynn-Marie Viana, and her husband, Manoel, of Derry, NH, Sherri-Ann Pittella and her husband, Joseph, of Haverhill, and Traci-Ellen Brousseau, and her husband, Arthur, also of Haverhill, six cherished grandchildren, Jenna L. Brisson, Alex M. Viana, Thomas E. Viana, Joshua R. Brousseau, Courtney R. Brousseau, and Christian J. Pittella, and sister in law, Sharon (LaFontaine) Ruocco, of Haverhill. She was predeceased by her brother, Victor Ruocco.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Monday, from 5 until 8 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 AM from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM in Sacred Hearts Church, South Main St. Bradford. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Sacred Hearts Church, 48 South Chestnut St. Bradford, MA 01835.
