Mary Lou (Fowler) Chase, 63, of Haverhill, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Oxford Nursing Care Center in Haverhill, after a lengthy illness.Born in Newburyport, she was the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Dorothy E. (Frost) Fowler. She attended Newburyport Public Schools and Newburyport High School.Mrs. Chase was employed as an assembler for the former Eastern Canvas Co. in Haverhill. She was previously employed in the housekeeping department at the Lenox Nursing Home. A devoted mother and grandmother, she was a caring selfless person, she volunteered at the Haverhill Senior Center in it’s citizen outreach program.The widow of Thomas H. Chase Sr, who died in 2008, she leaves two sons, Thomas H. Jr., and his wife Shirley, of Haverhill, Carlton E. Chase and his partner, Karen Landry, of Salem, N.H. a daughter with whom she lived, Ramona Leavitt, of Haverhill cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, and Jacqueline three sisters, Patricia Locke, of Seabrook, N.H., Sandra Warner, of Haverhill, Carol Tobin, of Newburyport and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur W. Fowler and a sister, Dorothy Desessa.ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend graveside services on Friday, June 11, at 11 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, Salem Street, Bradford.
