HAVERHILL – Michelle A. (Hart) Boyer, 66, of Haverhill, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2025, at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley.
Born in Amesbury on February 22, 1959, she was the daughter of Clifford R. and Muriel (Chausse) Hart. Michelle graduated from Whittier Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1977, and began her career working with disabled children before finding her calling as a beloved kindergarten and preschool teacher. Known affectionately as “Miss Micky” to generations of students, she was the kind of teacher who made every child feel safe, seen, and capable, often with a quick joke or a reassuring smile, but always with the singular warmth she gave to all her students.
Michelle had a gift for making people feel at ease. She loved motorcycle rides through New England with her husband, spending hours on jewelry projects, and losing herself in myriad other arts and crafts. She had a laugh that could cut through the heaviest days, a natural “don’t worry about me” attitude that made her endlessly giving, and she effortlessly spent her life as everyone’s rock and the glue that held the family together. She was never one to seek the spotlight, but she shone brightest when surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky A. Boyer; her sons, Jarred, Nathan, and Corey and his wife Michelle, all of Haverhill; her mother, Muriel Hart of Hampstead, NH; her mother-in-law, Nancy Boyer of Pelham, NH; her brother, Robert Hart of Merrimac; and her sister, Lisa Goulet of Plaistow, NH. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Nathan Jr., Katrina, Ethan, Olivia, and Ella, along with the mothers of her grandchildren, Nicole Boucher of Newton, NH, and Christina Menard of W. Newbury. Also several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Michelle was predeceased by her sisters, Kelli Brodie, Lorraine Turell, and Laura Hart.
ARRANGEMENTS: In keeping with Michelle’s wish to “not make a fuss,” the family will hold calling hours on Friday, August 15, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral home chapel at 8PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Please visit www.comeaufuneral.com or Comeau Funeral Home on Facebook.
