Haverhill – Michelle I. Simmons, 43, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital after being stricken ill suddenly at home.Born and raised in Haverhill, she was the daughter of Annette M. (Belfiore) Distefano and of the late, Allen J. Simmons. Educated in Haverhill, she attended the Hunking Middle School and was a graduate of Whittier Vocational Technical High School, class of 1989, where she studied Culinary Arts. She was employed at the former Giordano’s restaurant in Georgetown, and later at Market Basket. Michelle loved her family deeply and never missed an opportunity to say how much she loved them.She leaves her mother, Annette M. (Belfiore) Distefano and her husband, Gregory, brothers, Fred Simmons and his fiancé, Joyce Whipple Gamble, and Timothy Simmons and his wife, Diana (Smith), Phillip and Maureen Burns, all of Haverhill, sisters, Sally Mancini and her husband, Patrick, of Salem, NH, Cynthia Simmons, of Burbank, CA, Lynn Burns, of Las Vegas, NV, aunts, Patricia Masys and her husband, Joseph, of Haverhill, and Roberta “Bobby” Rodriguez, and her husband, John, of Raymond, NH, nieces, nephews, and several cousins.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service on Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM in the Kevin B.
