Natalie L. (MacCarthy) LeBlanc, 84, of Haverhill, formerly of Lynn, died Friday, March 15, 2013 at Wingate at Andover after a lengthy illness.Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late, Leo M. and Bertha (Usher) MacCarthy. She attended Lynn public schools and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1946. Living in Haverhill for the past fifteen years, she previously resided in Amesbury, Nahant, and wintered in Florida for many years.Beginning her career in security at General Electric in Lynn, she later specialized in public relations for the company. She was an avid swimmer and figure skater. She also enjoyed reading mysteries and listening to classical music. Her love of animals was a highlight in her life.The widow of Richard LeBlanc who died in 2005, she leaves her three children, Christine N. Bagley and her husband Peter, of Andover, Richard S. LeBlanc, of Salem, MA, and Dawn M. Cushing and her husband, Michael, of Newton, NH, seven grandchildren, Shayne Deal, Natalie Jordan, Alex LeBlanc, Andrew LeBlanc, Jacqueline Cushing, Danielle Cushing, and Kimberly Cushing, a brother, John MacCarthy, of Peabody, and two great grandchildren: Madeline and Caden Deal. In addition, she leaves a large number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Leo and James MacCarthy, Alberta Holbrook, and Ruth Egan.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Monday, from 5 until 8 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill, MA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Burial is private. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the MSPCA, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
