Patricia A. (Oickle) DeMaris, of Groveland, formerly of Haverhill, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 at the Wingate at Haverhill Nursing Home, after a courageous battle with ALS.Born in Haverhill, Sept. 26, 1947, the daughter of, Kenneth L. and Eva E. (Belmont) Oickle, she attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1965.Ms. DeMaris was employed as a case manager for elder services of the Merrimack Valley for many years until her illness forced her into an early retirement. She enjoyed relaxing to a good book, taking care of her house plants, and she loved animals.Besides her parents, she leaves her companion of nine years, John Burnell of Haverhill a son, John K. and his wife, Julie A. (White) DeMaris, of Haverhill three daughters, Michelle R. Fleming and her husband Mark of Bradford, Beth A. Stempien and her husband Scott, also of Bradford, Jennifer M. Moran and her fiance John Camarato of Haverhill a sister, Debra A. Oickle, of Haverhill 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild..ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Saturday, Feb. 5, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Route 125), Haverhill.
