Haverhill – Robert N. “Zabby” Zarbolias, 74, passed away on Tuesday, May 10 at his home in Haverhill.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Aristides and Dorothy (Brown) Zarbolias. Raised and educated in Haverhill he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1959. A member of the Haverhill High School football team, he played guard. An avid weightlifter and runner, he was known to run to work at Lucent Technologies in North Andover. He loved to work out and was a health fanatic. Zabby was an accomplished cook. He had his own cooking show on WCCM Radio in Methuen. He was also fond of fishing and enjoying summer days at the local beaches. He was devoted to his family, his children, grandchildren and great grandchild. He will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving him are his children, David R. Zarbolias and his wife Rhonda of Plaistow, NH Lisa J. Zarbolias of Salisbury Kathy R. Zarbolias of Nottingham, NH a brother, William Zarbolias of Haverhill his former wife and close friend Mary A. (Gurrier) Zarbolias close friend, Demi Costarides of Haverhill his grandchildren, Tara L. Zarbolias and Kevin A. Zarbolias and a great grandchild, MacKenzie Lee Zarbolias. He was predeceased by his son Stephen Zarbolias in 2013 and his sister Barbara Bretton. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, May 15 from 2:00PM until 5:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Burial will be private.
