Sharon Laird (Brown) (McCarron) Felker, 74, died on Monday, March 18, 2013 at her home following a long and courageous battle with cancer.Sharon was born in Missoula, Montana in 1938 to the late Stuart and Mae Brown.She moved with her family to Oregon, Washington, California, and Utah where she graduated from Davis High School in Roy. Following graduation, Sharon joined the U. S. Air Force and was stationed at McChord AFB in Washington. It was there that she worked in the Air and Ground Safety Office and met her first husband, Peter McCarron. The young couple moved to New England and started their family, living in Kingston and Newton, NH, and then Merrimac, MA. They parted ways, and Sharon began working numerous jobs including waitressing, driving a catering truck, working at Bailey’s in Seabrook, and Raytheon in Andover. Sharon always stayed busy, working 2 to 3 jobs at a time and raising her 4 children. Her house was always open to her kid’s friends to join the family for the evening meal, to stay a few days, sometimes weeks, months, even years. It was then that she became to be known as “Ma McCarron”.Sharon was always active in her community, helping with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, the “Merri Players”
