SALISBURY, MA — Sidel Ly, 76, beloved husband of Sen Thi Thach, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.
Born in Vietnam on April 5, 1949, Sidel was the son of Son Ly and Nghach Troung. He worked as a farmer, dedicating himself to a life of hard work and love for the land before immigrating to America with hopes and dreams of creating a better future for his children. Sidel will be remembered as a devoted, loving, and compassionate husband, father, and grandfather. His kindness and selflessness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sen Thi Thach; his children Dan Ly, Hue Ly and Jimmy V. Buacharern, Nghia Ly and Jenny Thai, Dieu Ly and Sony Nhor, Julie Ly and Scott Williams, Vu Ly and Wendy Jiang, Sandy Ly and Sonny Mac, Sherry Ly and Brandon Bengtson, and Donald Ly and Elizabeth Mao; as well as many cherished grandchildren: Eric Thai, Jordan Ly, Dalina Ly, Kenny Nhor, Karen Ly, Kenny Huynh, Carolyn Ly, Hilton Ly, Jason Ly, Jaden Mac, Mason Williams, Kailyn Mac, Allison Jiang, Devin Williams, Tori Jiang, and Leah Jiang .
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 12th from 4PM until 7PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
