Haverhill – Stephen F. Donahue, 65, of Haverhill, passed away at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen after a short illness.Born in Haverhill, October 25, 1948, he was the son of Constance J. (Gagne) and the late, Francis X. Donahue. Raised and educated in the city of Haverhill, he was a graduate of St. James High School. A Veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the 4th Infantry Division and was a Purple Heart recipient. He then continued his education and received his Bachelors Degree from Merrimack College. He was a member and past president of the Walnut Square Association.Mr. Donahue was employed as an Auditor for the Federal Government, working for the Defense Contract Audit Agency, retiring in 2010.He leaves his two children, Patrick S. Donahue and his wife, Melissa, of Haverhill, and his daughter with whom he lived, Maura A. Donahue, of Haverhill, cherished granddaughter, Anna M. Donahue, loving mother, Constance J. (Gagne) Donahue, of Haverhill, former wife, Patricia A. (Cleary) Donahue, of Haverhill, three brothers, James J. Donahue and his wife, Gloria, of Bradford, Christopher Donahue and his wife, Susan, of Haverhill, and Timothy Donahue and his wife, Kim, of Haverhill, a sister, Kathryn Ronaldson and her husband, Kirk, of York, ME, and aunts, uncles, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning beginning at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. James Cemetery, Primrose St. Haverhill . Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
