Haverhill \u2013 Jonathan M. Godfrey, 59, husband of Dawna J. (Spearin) Godfrey, passed away August 24, 2019 at his home.<\/p>\n
Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Warren and Dorothy (Poshian) Godfrey. Raised and educated in Randolph, he was a graduate of Randolph High School, Class of 1977. Jonathan was employed for many years with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 11. He worked as a stagehand on concerts, plays, movies and at just about every venue throughout the Boston area. Jonathan loved to golf, was a classic rock fan and was a big Boston sports fan, especially the New England Patriots. Known for his dry sense of humor and funny wit, he was always there for his friends and family, helping out whenever he could. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he loved his girls and enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.<\/p>\n
In addition to his loving wife Dawna, he is survived by his daughters, Tanya Murphy and her husband James of Haverhill; Meagan Kim and her husband Vanthan of Jacksonville, NC; Caitlin Godfrey of Kihei, HI; brothers, Sam Parnagian and his wife Gayle of Salem, NH and William Scott Godfrey of Quincy; his sister, Roberta Bersani and her husband Paul of Randolph; four grandchildren, Marissa Rodgers, Sophia Murphy, Cole Jonathan Kim and Makenna Kim; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
