Bradford \u2013 Carol C. (Shellene) Williams, 78 wife of the late Joseph M. Williams, passed away April 30, 2020.<\/p>\n
Born in Newburyport, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Jean M. (Sheridan) Shellene.\u00a0 She was raised and educated in Haverhill, MA and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1959.\u00a0 When first married she was a homemaker and mother of two busy boys.\u00a0 When the boys entered high school, she began working for Vernon Plastics in Ward Hill, MA, as well as managing a branch of Sarah Coventry Jewelry.<\/p>\n
In the mid-80s Carol joined the banking industry with Cenlar Federal Savings bank in Princeton, NJ.\u00a0 She excelled in her talents and gained the respect of her co-workers and made lifelong friends while working there.\u00a0 She retired from Banking in 2000, after rekindling her relationship and marrying Joseph Williams she moved to Rollinsford, NH.\u00a0 While residing there she helped raise funds and open the Rollinsford Public Library.<\/p>\n
Carol loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and loved bird watching; her favorite bird was the Eastern Bluebird; she would tend the houses each spring making sure that it they were ready for new nesting parents.\u00a0 She enjoyed spending time with family at Sunset Lake, loved sunbathing, and even spent one entire summer at the beach in Manasquan, NJ.\u00a0 Carol loved to travel and was known for her adventurous spirit; she even owned a convertible Mustang that she was very fond of getting out in. She was lucky to have to have kept her high school girlfriends close and enjoyed their weekend \u201cget-aways\u201d when they would gather together and share stories and laughter.<\/p>\n
Carol is survived by her children Benjamin and Bryan Batchelder.\u00a0 Her bros, Jody Shellene and his husband, Tim Hartsfield of Sandford, ME.\u00a0 Sister-in-law Darlene Shellene and her husband Chris Witteveld of Atkinson, NH, as well as several nieces and nephews.\u00a0 She is preceded in death by her brother, Richard P. Shellene.\u00a0 Carol will be missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.<\/p>\n
