Roland \u201cBuzzy\u201d Pettinati, 74. Born in Stoneham, Massachusetts on October 7th, 1945. Grew up in Medford, Massachusetts and attended Medford High School, Class of \u201963. Army National Guard Veteran. Retired from Verizon after over 40 years as a C. O. Technician, during which time he served as a shop steward, and then five years at Market Basket, as a bagger and receiver. A devoted pet owner and avid fan of science fiction and fantasy, he particularly loved Christmastime and 1951\u2019s \u201cA Christmas Carol”, as well as semi-annual summer trips to Nova Scotia. Humorous and generous of spirit, his gruff demeanor was belied by his quiet, kind affection.<\/p>\n
Cherished son, brother, and father, preceded by parents Roland A. and Mary E. (Royce) Pettinati, and brother, Joseph Richard. He is survived by wife Anne Patricia (Landry) Pettinati, daughter Patricia Anne Pettinati and her partner Stephen Michael DiPesa; his siblings \u2013 Laurence, Janice, Pamela, Patricia, Linda, and Thomas; and his beloved extended family in the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n
