Duggan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bradford \u2013 John E. Duggan, 91, husband of the late Jeanne L. (Levasseur) Duggan, passed away\u00a0July 6, 2020\u00a0at his home in Bradford.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late John and\u00a0Catherine\u00a0(Connors) Duggan. Raised and educated in Lawrence, he was a graduate of Lawrence High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country with honor in\u00a0WWII and the Korean\u00a0War, serving on four destroyers. Upon his return from the Navy, he began his\u00a0career in Quality Assurance\u00a0with the former Western Electric and AT &amp;T, then with Lucent Technologies.\u00a0Jack\u00a0spent many years working there until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Crescent Yacht Club and the Bradford Swim Club.\u00a0Jack\u00a0was a handyman and was often seen at both clubs, and his own home, painting and working on various projects.\u00a0He liked to listen to music in his yard, was known for his quick wit, and loved to joke around. Jack\u00a0was a very social man who met with friends once a month at the mall and every Tuesday at the Yacht Club. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, his family was everything to him and he cherished his time with them.\u00a0Jack\u00a0will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.<\/p>\n<p>Jack\u00a0is survived by his children, David J. Duggan and his wife Debra of Portsmouth, RI; Lisa A. Guerin and her husband John of Bradford; Susan M. Lanza and her husband Donald of Hampstead, NH; five grandchildren, Steven Lanza, Rachel Lanza, Dr. Daniel Duggan, Rebecca Duggan and\u00a0Elaina\u00a0MacLean; four great grandchildren,\u00a0Jameson\u00a0P. MacLean, Malea Duggan, Duke Duggan and Paisley MacLean. In addition to his loving wife Jeanne, he was predeceased by his sister, Geraldine Bean.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
