Salem, NH \u2013 James M. Campbell, 61, husband of Elaine M. (Descoteaux) Campbell, passed away August 3, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family at his home.<\/p>\n
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Theresa M. (St.Cyr) Campbell and the late Charles W. Campbell. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Whittier Tech School in Haverhill, Class of 1976. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, serving his country with honor from 1976 until 1980. He worked for Burns Auto Parts and Sanel Auto Parts. James also was employed as a planner in the Aerospace industry for Cobham in Exeter, NH. He enjoyed bowling, softball, horseshoes and cribbage. A master Trivial Pursuit champion, never losing a game with family and friends. A lover of all genres of music, James was also known as a history and geographical buff. He enjoyed traveling to North Carolina to visit his children and granddaughter. A devoted husband, father<\/p>\n
In addition to his loving wife Elaine of over 37 years and his mother Theresa and her companion Robert Eastman, he is survived by his children, Jennifer M. Campbell, James M. Campbell, Jr. and \u00a0Kristina Von Born and Steven A. Campbell, all of NC; brothers, Charles Campbell and Marilyn Heinz LaMoureaux of WA; John and Jayne Campbell of Haverhill; sisters, Gloria and Richard Smith of FL; Doreen and Tim Parkhurst of NH; Joyce and Kevin Willette of MA; Theresa and David Bilodeau of NH; granddaughter, Ashton R. Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, August 7 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
