Bradford \u2013 Mary L. (Allen) Whittier, 82, wife of Frederick R. Whittier, Jr., passed away September 20, 2020 at St. Elizabeth\u2019s Hospital in Boston.<\/p>\n
Born in Derry, NH she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Clarice (Taker) Allen. Raised in Haverhill, she attended Haverhill High School. Mary was a devoted homemaker to her beloved husband, children grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She cherished her family and friends and was a sweet, loving lady. Mary enjoyed playing cribbage, bowling and her favorite pastime was playing cards, especially 45\u2019s. She also enjoyed going to the beach with family and friends. Everyone who knew and loved Mary will miss her loving spirit and friendship.<\/p>\n
In addition to her loving husband Frederick of over 60 years, Mary is survived by her children, Frederick S. Whittier and his wife Gina of Sandown, NH; Scott B. Whittier and his wife Elena of Bradford; Mary Lou Brisson and her husband Rock of Chester, NH; grandchildren, Mandy Breton and her husband Jeremie, Katelyn Whittier, Kristen Aleska, Fred Whittier, Tyler Whittier and Lauren Whittier; five great grandchildren, Kylie, Jack, Frederick, Cora and Ryan; sisters, Jean DiFloures and her husband Anthony of Haverhill; Mabel Deveau of Bradford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Alice Muller, Norman Taker, Charles \u201cOscar\u201d Allen, Johnny Allen, Viola Carter, Pauline Kershaw and Elizabeth \u201cBetty\u201d Teague.<\/p>\n
Due to the current Covid 19 crisis, funeral services will be private. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by the Kevin B.
