Newburyport \u2013 Joanne Kunkel Georges, 70, passed away peacefully at her home<\/p>\n
on Plum Island in Newburyport December 28, 2020 surrounded by her loving<\/p>\n
family.<\/p>\n
Born in Ludlow and raised in Indian Orchard, MA, she was the daughter of the late<\/p>\n
Mitchell and Anne (Jez) Labuda. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School in<\/p>\n
Springfield and obtained her Bachelor\u2019s Degree from Boston University. Joanne<\/p>\n
had a corporate career with Budget Rent A Car managing operations at Logan<\/p>\n
Airport and moved on to national management, later in life she worked as a<\/p>\n
corporate consultant. She had a passion for the water and loved spending time<\/p>\n
boating and sailing with her husband Paul. Joanne enjoyed gardening, reading and<\/p>\n
taking long walks with her dog, Graci. Her favorite thing was spending time with<\/p>\n
her grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored.<\/p>\n

Joanne is survived by her husband, Paul Georges of Newburyport; her children,<\/p>\n
Ross Kunkel, Kristi Reed and Kerri Kunkel; grandchildren Penelope and Sebastian<\/p>\n
Kunkel; brothers Chuck Labuda and Dan Labuda. Funeral services at this time will be private.<\/p>\n
A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
