Martin, Sr."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Haverhill \u2013 Everett A. Martin, Sr., 63, husband of Wonder (Clough) Martin, passed away after a short illness on May 16, 2021 at St. Elizabeth\u2019s Hospital in Boston.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Marguerite J. (Hartford) Martin of Amesbury and the late Albert F. Martin. Raised and educated in Lawrence, he attended Lawrence High School. Everett was a man of many talents, including an auto mechanic, landscaper and someone who was always a helping hand to whoever needed help. He loved listening to Elvis and collecting all kinds of Elvis memorabilia. He enjoyed cruising in cars, his CB radio, fishing and camping at the annual Pow Wow. Everett was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather, he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his loving wife and mother, Everett is survived by his children, James Gonyer and his wife Kristina Cullen-Gonyer of Methuen; Everett A. Martin, Jr. of Haverhill; Annie M. Martin of Haverhill; siblings, Albert \u201cBuddy\u201d Martin and his wife Ethel of ME; Virginia Martin and Margaret Rollins of Haverhill; Sandy Ellis and her husband Tim of TN; Donna Smith of TN; Teresa Martin, Jennifer Roberts and Eric Martin, all of Haverhill; Derek Martin of ME; Scott Scamparino; Kathleen Hamilton of NH; grandchildren, Michael Denuccio, Tyler Cullen-Gonyer, Karisza Gonyer \u201cPapas girl\u201d, Jayden Allder and James Martin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Albert and brother Chuck Martin.<\/p>\n<p>Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, May 23 from 2:00PM until 5:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be in the funereal home on Monday morning at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Atkinson Depot Road, Plaistow.
