She was born on January 2, 1963, to the late Frank P. Miller and Patricia Ambrose Miller.\u00a0 She attended St. James Elementary School, the Fox School, and JG Whittier Middle School before she got to Haverhill High School. As a Hillie, she was a member of the swim team for four years and a big supporter of HHS football. After high school, SuSu went on to Bridgewater State College (now UMass Bridgewater), graduating with a degree in sociology. SuSu spent many summers on Cape Cod and Martha\u2019s Vineyard, working as a lifeguard during her college years and enjoying vacations on the Vineyard as often as possible. She was an avid skier who spent many a winter weekend on the slopes in Vermont.<\/p>\n<p>Sue began her career in health care, working for the Massachusetts Visiting Nurses Association, and remained in the health care field in one way or another for the rest of her career, spending many years with Meditech, Inc. as both a marketing and sales professional.<\/p>\n<p>Her smile was as big as it was genuine. SuSu was a phenomenal friend and trusted confidante \u2013 that rare person who was always there for those who needed her. She also brought her irreverent sense of humor wherever she went. All who knew her would certainly attest to her being the life of every party.<\/p>\n<p>SuSu absolutely adored her seven nieces and nephews (Molly and Conor Miller; Katie, Ben, and Chris Inglese; and Griffin and Declan Dyal), and they adored her in return. She was well-known as the \u201cFun Aunt,\u201d the one who would buy them candy when their parents wouldn\u2019t approve and let them stay up late watching not-quite-appropriate movies. They will all miss her terribly.<\/p>\n<p>SuSu was one of six siblings in a close family with deep Haverhill roots. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Miller of Haverhill, and her five siblings: Laurie Inglese and her husband Ralph of New Jersey, Paul Miller of Haverhill, Tim Miller of New York, Tara Miller and her husband Carter Dyal of California, and Mark Miller of Florida; and her Aunt and Uncle Jean &amp; Ed Wilson of Illinois. She was predeceased by her father, Frank P. Miller, uncles Bill Miller and Jack Ambrose, and aunts, Eileen Miller Jeans, Patricia Meagher, and Nancy Ambrose. She also leaves behind many cousins and extended family members, around the country, who will miss her smile, her kindness, and her empathetic soul.<\/p>\n<p>Calling hours will be Thursday, November 11<sup>th<\/sup>, from 4:00pm \u2013 7:00pm at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Friday morning in the funeral home at 9:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. James Church in Haverhill at 10:00am, followed by a graveside service at St. James Cemetery, Primrose St. Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in SuSu\u2019s name to Emmaus of Haverhill, at <em>emmausinc.org<\/em>; or St. Jude\u2019s Children\u2019s Research Hospital, at <em>stjude.org<\/em>.
