Pinet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Haverhill \u2013 Yvon M. Pinet, 83, husband of the late Lorraine (Grenier) Pinet, passed away November 17, 2021 at Lawrence General Hospital with his loving family by his side.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Ville Degelis, Quebec, Canada.\u00a0 He was second of 9 children of the late Laurier and Rose (Deschesnes) Pinet. He immigrated to the United States in 1962, to Lawrence Massachusetts and went to work in the shoe factories. He met his wife Lorraine and married in 1965 and had one daughter Christine. \u00a0 Yvon was a very talented finish carpenter who had his own custom cabinet company and worked with his brother building homes.\u00a0 He was well known for his precise and accurate work, even though he only had a 6th grade education.\u00a0 From cabinets, to furniture and custom wood floors, his talents are located in many homes in the Merrimack Valley.<\/p>\n<p>Yvon was a wonderful grandfather to Marlayna and Madalye.\u00a0 Living with them in their home since they were born, their bond was special.\u00a0 Papa went to every dance recital, basketball, soccer, softball and track event!\u00a0 He didn\u2019t miss anything when it came to his \u201cgirls\u201d.\u00a0 His pride beamed any time he would speak of them and he was so proud when they graduated from high school and college.\u00a0 They were absolutely his greatest loves and he was the best Papa.<\/p>\n<p>Yvon enjoyed bowling\u00a0 and playing pool in local leagues. \u00a0 He was a passionate Montreal Canadiens fan and loved to tease his granddaughter, an avid Bruins fan about how much better the Canadiennes were. \u00a0 On any given day you would find him watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and was a huge fan of Survivor.\u00a0 During the pandemic he took up the hobby of jigsaw puzzles.\u00a0 He would pride himself on how quickly he could get them done and displayed them all proudly in his home.<\/p>\n<p>Every single morning he would have his coffee at Heavenly Donuts in Plaistow with his \u201cbuddies\u201d, chatting about the day&#8217;s events and greeting all the regular customers.\u00a0 Everyone who frequente Heavenly Donuts,\u00a0 including the employees, knew and loved Papa.<\/p>\n<p>A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.<\/p>\n<p>Yvon was predeceased by his wife Lorraine (Grenier) Pinet, his sisters, Noelline Lebel and Jocelyne Landry and sisters in law Monique Pinet and Claudette Pinet and brother in law Gerard Lebel.<\/p>\n<p>He leaves behind his daughter Christine A. Pinet-Buco and her husband G. Mauro Buco of Haverhill; two beloved grandchildren, Marlyana Buco and Madalyne Buco. His brothers, Jean Guy Pinet, his partner Mimi, Ghislain Pinet, his partner Sheila, Gerald Pinet and Claude Pinet and his wife Lorraine.\u00a0 His sisters, Geraldine Dulac and her husband Jean Guy and Nicole Landry and her husband Gilles and his brother in law and good friend, Jean Landry and his partner Anne Dube, along with many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, November 26 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 80 Corbett Street, Andover. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital.
