Haverhill \u2013 Miguel A. Oquendo, 62, passed away after a long illness at the Oxford Nursing Home in Haverhill with his loving family by his side.<\/p>\n
Born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Gladys M. Gonzalez of Haverhill and the late Angel Oquendo. He came to Haverhill at the age of 14 and lived with his family until his return to Puerto Rico. Miguel came back and has lived in Haverhill for many years. He worked as an assembler in the Leather Industry in Haverhill. Miguel enjoyed playing dominoes and loved to sing. He was known for his kind and friendly personality. He loved his family and was close to all his nephews. Miguel will be remembered as a good brother and son who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.<\/p>\n
Miguel is survived by his mother Gladys and two daughters, Jacqueline Oquendo and Atina Oquendo; brothers, Luis A Oquendo and his wife Maria Arce of Haverhill, Edwin Oquendo of Haverhill; sisters, Maria Colon and her husband Miguel of Haverhill, Vilma J Oquendo and her husband Jose Julio Gonzalez of Haverhill, Irma N Oquendo of Jayuya, P.R, Eileen Oquendo and her fianc\u00e9` Angel Cruz of Haverhill, Rebecca Oquendo and her husband Jaime Abreu of Jayuya, P.R, Rosabell Oquendo of Haverhill, Amaris Oquendo and her fianc\u00e9 Jose Nunez of Haverhill and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, March 11 from 4:00PM until 6:30PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
