Aziz, 69"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Peter J. Aziz, of Merrimac, died peacefully on July 14<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022 at 69 years old with his wife and family by his side.\u00a0 Peter was born in Methuen and grew up in North Andover.\u00a0 He lived a quiet life with his wife in Merrimac for almost 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He attended Greater Lawrence Technical High School in Andover, MA for Graphic Arts; Class of 1973.\u00a0 He was a member of the Newbury\/Rowley MA Lions Club.\u00a0 Peter was not a junior, his family nick name was Brother Pete or Peter J. (for Joseph) to distinguish him from his father.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Peter met his wife at the Topsfield Fair while they both worked at the Bradford Shoe booth.\u00a0 They were married on October 4<sup>th<\/sup>as it was an easy date to for them to remember which they referred to as,\u201c10-4 Good Buddy!\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He had a sign &amp; lettering business before retiring a few years ago.\u00a0 His sign company was known as Piazza Signs but later changed the name to Bulldog Signs because people thought he only made Pizza Signs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pete\u2019s passions in life were restoring antique cars, driving hot rods, attending car shows, flea markets with family and his cousin Louie, and gardening.\u00a0 His talent included artistic freehand car pin striping, painting murals, cooking, and baking.\u00a0 Peter also enjoyed the Grateful Dead and was a free spirit as he never left home without a tie-dyed shirt.\u00a0 He loved animals, especially his pet cats and pet turtles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Peter is survived by his wife, Dianne Aziz of Merrimac, his mother, Louise L. Aziz of North Andover, and his brother, David A. Aziz and his wife Lisa of Northwood, He is also survived by his four sisters, Lisa F. Aziz of North Andover, Patricia L. Clark and her husband Michael of Londonderry, Christine A. Tracy and her husband James of Bradford, and his sister Dawn M. Horan and her husband David of Newton. Among his survivors is his Aunt Vivian Aziz of North Andover, Aunt Sandra Cousins of Rowley, and Uncle Salvatore &amp; Aunt Karen Furnari, of Florida and several cousins. He was Uncle Pete to nieces Candice Marlowe and her husband Andrew and their children Silas &amp; Wren, Jenna Clark, Allison Clark, Kara Meads and her husband Doug and their daughter Brea and Amanda Mahoney and her husband Paul and their children Leo &amp; Wesley, his in laws; Christine and Al Goldstein of Atkinson, Robin Gulubicki of Plaistow, Roger and Debbie Maffeo, of Haverhill and many nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his father, the late Peter Aziz.\u00a0 He will be missed by his family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Family and friends are respectfully invited to calling hours<\/strong> at Kevin Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill, on Saturday, Aug 6<sup>th<\/sup> from 11 am \u2013 1pm followed by a Catholic Service at 1pm in the Funeral Home. This will be a celebration of Pete\u2019s life with family and friends while watching a loop of amazing photos (some never seen before) &amp; listening to Pete\u2019s favorite music.\u00a0 Respecting his casual style, tasteful tie-dyed apparel is acceptable. <strong>In lieu of flowers, donations <\/strong>can be made Peter\u2019s name at <strong>Autism Speaks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autismspeaks.org\/?form=donate\">https:\/\/www.autismspeaks.org\/?form=donate<\/a>.
