(Pelletier) DesOrmeaux, 93"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HAVERHILL \u2013 Martha B. (Pelletier) DesOrmeaux, 93, widow of her husband of 65 years Russell E. DesOrmeaux, passed away at her home peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Nashua, NH, she was the daughter of the late Francis X. and Blanche Y. (Girouard) Pelletier. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1950. Martha, more affectionately known as Meme later in life was a loving mother of five, grandmother of five, and great grandmother of four. She loved her animals as family with many pets over the year\u2019s most notably Ceres, a Golden Retriever who passed years ago and who she will be interred with, alongside her husband and sister, Doris. She loved lighthouses and visiting the beach every weekend with her husband and dog to collect shells and sand dollars, which she used to decorate their home. Their home was the center of family gatherings for holidays summertime cookouts with so many extended friends and family over the years. She especially loved having her grandchildren and great grandchildren visit. She had a green thumb and loved gardening. She grew some of the best fresh produce, often in such abundance friends and family would drop by and pick up fresh vegetables, nobody ever left hungry.<\/p>\n<p>She was the heart and soul of the family and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her, three sons; Russell E. DesOrmeaux Jr., of Big Pine Key, FL, Peter A. DesOrmeaux and his wife Tracy, of Haverhill, and Paul F. DesOrmeaux, of New York City, two daughters; Deborah A. Hammer, of Haverhill, and Teresa E. DesOrmeaux-Brewster and her husband James Brewster, of Inverness FL; five grandchildren, Sterling A. Hammer Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, Matthew DesOrmeaux, Daniel DesOrmeaux, Amy DesOrmeaux, and Taylor DesOrmeaux; and four great grandchildren, Atom, Zero, Lily and Paul DesOrmeaux. She was preceded by two brothers, Conrad, Robert and four sisters Lorraine, Theresa, Marguerite, and Doris.<\/p>\n<p>ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held at Walnut Cemetery on June 8<sup>th<\/sup>at 1:00 PM with a celebration of life at 374 Kenoza Street following.
