ANDOVER – Walter Edward Spracklin Jr., cherished partner, devoted stepfather, loving grandfather, and treasured friend, sadly passed away on July 31, 2025 in Andover. Walter was widely known for his vibrant storytelling and captivating humor. Walt\u2019s warmth, kindness, and generous spirit made him the life of every gathering, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.<\/p>\n
Born to the late Walter Edward Spracklin Sr. of Malden, MA, and Pauline Blackwood of Chapel Hill, NC, Walt filled his life with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He leaves behind his\u00a0stepdaughter Janine Whittaker, her fianc\u00e9 Isaac Laffely, his granddaughter Juliana Laffely, and his cousin Ann Walter. Walter also shared a special lifelong bond with Robert Zeuli of Groveland, MA, who was like a son to him.<\/p>\n
Walter recently reunited with his beloved partner Mari T. Whittaker, who preceded him in death last year. Mari was his best friend and soul mate for 25 wonderful years, and Walter deeply missed her, his heart aching in her absence. Walter and Mari shared many joyful adventures, especially their happiest days spent at the beach. They also enjoyed collecting and reselling antiques, turning their hobby into treasured experiences. His careers at Sears Roebuck and Dracut Appliance brought lasting friendships and joyful memories. Walter touched countless lives with his enthusiasm, laughter, and stories.<\/p>\n
ARRANGEMENTS: A service honoring Walter’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 12 from 5PM until 6PM, followed by a funeral home chapel service at 6PM at the Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
