Haverhill – Sandra Lee (Madison) Ryan, 81, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, at Lawrence General Hospital.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Born on July 22, 1944, Sandra was the beloved daughter of the late Kenneth Paul Madison and Elizabeth Jean (Waldie) Madison. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Johnson and Pauline Madison. She is survived by her brother Paul Madison.<\/div>\n
Sandra was the beloved wife of Ronald Cornu, with whom she shared 47 joyful years of marriage. Together, they raised a large, loving family and a home filled with warmth, laughter, and generosity.<\/div>\n

She was the devoted mother of Cynthia Ryan-Wheeler and her late Husband, Chris Wheeler and her son Johnny Ryan Jr. Sandra leaves behind her treasured granddaughters, Nicole Igoe and Samantha Ryan-Wheeler. Nicole and her husband, James Igoe, blessed Sandra with two great-grandchildren, James and Madison. She also leaves behind her son Scott Hatch and his wife Kim, along with their sons Scott Jr. and Matthew; and Scott\u2019s children Brandon and Shannon. Her daughter Leah Manaster and husband Chris Manaster blessed her with four grandchildren: Connor, Sonia, Remi, and Quentin. Sandra also leaves behind her son Ryan Murphy and his wife Brittany Murphy, who also blessed her with three grandchildren Ryan, Eli, and Autumn.<\/div>\n
Sandra grew up in Andover, Massachusetts. She received her hair dressing license from Fazio’s Hair School. She also enjoyed waitressing at Savastano’s Restaurant. She loved spending time with family and friends, dancing to her favorite music, and especially listening to Elvis. She also loved road trips and cherished time spent in the White Mountains, finding joy in the simple moments and scenery. Quick with a joke and always the light in the room, she brought joy and laughter wherever she went.<\/div>\n
To many beyond her immediate family, Sandra was a second mother \u2014 a safe place to land, a listening ear, and a warm meal when it was needed most. Her home was always open, and she had an incredible ability to make people feel welcomed, seen, and loved.<\/div>\n
She will be remembered for her deep love of family, her infectious personality, and the strength with which she supported those around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.<\/div>\n
Thank you to all the staff at the Oxford Nursing Home for all the love and care that they showed Sandra over the years.<\/div>\n
