She is now reunited with her husband Walter Johnson to whom she was married 67 years, and leaves behind a son Erich, daughter Dianne, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, 6 grandchildren, Keith, Christopher, Sandra, Shelly, Kristen, Emma and their spouses, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.Mom\u2019s favorite pastimes were cooking and crossword puzzles, along with a sweet appreciation of wildlife\u2014particularly birds. She valued family, and was an ardent fan of baseball, hockey and soccer, a loveable attribute shared with dad. She was blessed with a gifted and remarkable talent for needlepoint and sewing, and truly revered flowers\u2014gladiolas being her absolute favorite.  Adored by her grandchildren, over the years she created numerous family photo albums to share with friends to peruse and admire.As a young child she survived the harsh ravages of a war-torn Europe, and later in life married and immigrated to the United States. She loved and cherished both cultures, impressing upon family\u2014as a main prerogative and purpose in life\u2014the importance of tolerance and humility.  In addition to the warmth and generosity of her very nature, she would light up a room with her smile and laughter  this will remain a fond and treasured memory for those left behind.  She is dearly loved and will be sorely missed.Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of life in her memory on November 1<sup>st<\/sup> from 12:00PM until 4:00PM at 3 Juniper Lane, Georgetown.
