{"id":8432,"date":"2016-10-29T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-10-29T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/comeaufuneral.com\/2025-1\/eva-jabour\/"},"modified":"2026-01-30T18:17:17","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T18:17:17","slug":"eva-jabour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/comeaufuneral.com\/2025-1\/eva-jabour\/","title":{"rendered":"Eva Jabour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Methuen \u2013 Eva Marie (Sheys) Jabour, 78, wife of the late Salvatore Jabour, passed away Saturday, October 29 at Holy Family in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Sheys. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1956. She attended Atlantic Union College in Lancaster and graduated with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Education. She went on to receive her Master\u2019s degree, also in Education. Throughout her entire career she taught all over the United States for the 7<sup>th<\/sup> Day Adventist Church. Her life was dedicated to the church and she was a member of the Haverhill 7<sup>th<\/sup> Adventist Church for over 60 years and was a member of the Amesbury 7<sup>th<\/sup> Day Adventist Church for the past few years. Eva adopted seven children and fostered hundreds of children after her retirement in her thirties. She was the owner of Sam Ceramics, a local ceramic school and taught classes for years. She has knit many hats and gloves for the city of Haverhill\u2019s homeless community. She loved to cook and host parties at her home, especially for the holidays. Family was everything to her and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved by all who had the privilege to know her.Surviving her are her children, Roselyn Headley and her husband Stephen of Springfield  Melinda McGuire and her husband Greg of NC  Betsy Jabour of FL  Andrew \u201cAJ\u201d Jabour of Methuen  Darrell Jabour of Methuen  Carmen Herrera and her husband Gus of Methuen  twelve grandchildren  five great grandchildren  and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Crystal Jabour and her siblings, Harriet Moore, Violet Ada Wildes, Bessy Underhill, Margaret DeLellis, Vivian O\u2019Niel, Harold Sheys, Ralph Sheys and Harry Sheys Jr.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, November 2 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A funeral service will follow at 12:00PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Leavitt Road Cemetery, Fremont, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Amesbury 7<sup>th<\/sup> Day Adventist Church, 171 Main Street, Amesbury, MA 01913.
