Gould, Jr., 72, husband of Joyce (Cusenza) Gould, passed away March 19, 2018 at Brigham and Woman\u2019s Hospital in Boston with his loving family by his side.Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Walter Gould Sr. and Ella (Swanson) Gould. With his family, he moved to West Newbury, where he grew up. Walter was a graduate of Pentucket Regional High School, Newman Prep in Boston, and Wentworth Institute, graduating with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. After graduation from Wentworth, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed stock car racing, especially the modified division. In the 1970\u2019s, 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s he and his wife Joyce would visit race tracks throughout New England to watch the \u201cMods\u201d race. Walter was a smart, fun loving man who enjoyed his music and movies. He was loved by everyone who knew him. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sisters, Nancy I. Gould of Acton  Gloria Gould of Sandown, NH  Martha Bisson and her husband Bruce of West Newbury  brother in law Louis Cusenza and his wife Shirley of Haverhill  several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and great nieces. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, March 24 from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will follow at 4:00PM in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Shriner\u2019s Hospital, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
