(Forte) Lupi, 100, luggage and ticket in hand, has made her final trip and been reunited with her loving husband, Edolo.  Her patience was rewarded and prayers  answered on September 7, 2018.Eda\u2019s life journey began in Haverhill on March 2, 1918. Born to Italian immigrant parents Donato and Costanza (DiGiacomo) Forte, she was educated in the Haverhill School system. A good student, she also loved to play baseball, (catcher) and basketball, (forward): hence, her lifelong dedication to the Boston Red Sox and Celtics.As a young woman she worked at the Holt and Unity shoe companies in Haverhill earning a reputation as a meticulous worker.Eda and musician Edolo Lupi were married in 1940. With the arrival of their first born, Patricia, in 1944, Eda left the shoe shop and devoted herself to caring for her family  which grew 2 years later with the birth of twins, Linda and Lorna. Eda\u2019s attention to detail was then applied to the work of raising the girls, maintaining a welcoming home, Sunday family dinners and holidays filled with music, laughter, good food and lots of family and friends. As the years went by, the arrival of grandchildren brought even greater happiness.Travel took Eda and Ed to NYC, Florida, California, Nevada, Canada and Great Britain. But their trip to Italy was very special. Visits to their ancestral towns of Villalago and Bisegna introduced them to extended family where they were wined and dined in family homes. These trips were some of Eda\u2019s fondest memories.Eda was predeceased by her husband Edolo and her siblings  Ann DiGuilio, John, Vincent and infant Saverio Forte.She is survived by her loving daughters  Patricia and her husband Joseph Pelosi, Linda, wife of the late George Perkins and Lorna Lupi  grandchildren, Christopher Pelosi and his wife Olga, Jonathan Pelosi and his wife Heather, Lisa Perkins, George Perkins, Edward Perkins  great-granddaughters, Milana and Aubreyana  sisters-in-law, Lillian Lupi and Helen Lupi, brother-in-law Romeo Lupi and numerous nieces and nephews.Eda spent many happy years with her friends at Mission Towers and Sarah\u2019s Place.The family and Eda would like to thank the Penacook Place staff for their loving care and kindness and for putting up with her antics.Eda celebrated her 100<sup>th<\/sup> birthday on March 3, 2018 with family and friends. She lived those years showing respect and kindness to all she met and will be remembered for her unconditional love, smile, sense of humor, love of music and commitment to her faith. She sends her love to all who have crossed her path.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 11:30 AM at St. James Church, Winter St. Haverhill. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eda\u2019s memory may be made to Sarah\u2019s Place Adult Day Health Center, 180 Water St., Haverhill, MA 01830 or Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Building 9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
