Perkins, 69, husband of Maureen E. (Rogers) Perkins, passed away peacefully at High Pointe Hospice in Haverhill with his loving family by his side. Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Sophie E. (Vergas) Perkins Ouellette of Haverhill and the late Kenneth K. Perkins. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1968. He attended Fitchburg State with a major of Electrical Engineering. David served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He was very active in the Sagahew Masonic Lodge in Haverhill. David was involved in many veteran organizations including VFW Post Lance Corporal Richard O. DeMarais of Bradford, the Wilbur Comeau American Legion of Haverhill, served as Vice Commander in DAV Hannah Duston Chapter of Haverhill and the Knight Templar in Haverhill and Newburyport. David was also a member of the Shriners of Wilmington. David was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Haverhill. He enjoyed fishing skiing and made friends wherever he went. David was known as a true patriot who loved his country. He will be remembered as a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.In addition to his loving wife Maureen, he is survived by his children Nathan R. Perkins and Jonathan D. Perkins of Haverhill  Rebecca A. Perkins and Matthew Rawding of Epping, NH  his mother, Sophie Perkins Ouellette of Haverhill  his mother in law Connie Rogers of Haverhill  brother Timothy N. Perkins and his wife Donna of Haverhill  sister Linda V. Mulligan and her husband Frank of Dover, NH  sister in law Attorney Kelly Spencer and her husband Michael of Haverhill  sister in law Kathleen Keefe and her husband Brian of Atkinson of NH  six grandchildren, Kayla, Travis, Matthew, Jack, Lukas and Alexandria Perkins  aunts Gladys Bruce, Thelma Perkins and Mary Perkins, all of Haverhill  his devoted dog, Mason  and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Matthew Perkins, a brother Barry R. Perkins and father in law John Rogers.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Monday, November 19 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 217 Main Street, Haverhill at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, John Ward Avenue, Haverhill.
