Merrimac \u2013 Jeanette A. (Deth) Poor, 79, wife of Russell M. Poor, with whom she shared over 62 years of marriage, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.Born in East Burke, VT, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth F. and Violet P. (Breevort) Deth. Raised in Vermont, she was educated in a one room school house in Vermont. She met her husband Russell on a merry go round and has been on one ever since. Jeanette was employed for many years as a Dietary Aide for a local nursing home. She enjoyed traveling back to the farm she grew up on in Vermont with her aunt and uncle, Marjorie and Wallace Deth. Jeanette enjoyed bowling, but her family was where her heart was. Jeanette was a life time member of the order of the Eastern Star. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.In addition to her loving husband Russell, she is survived by her children, Karlene A. Morecroft of Amesbury Edith C. Poor of Amesbury Harold E. Poor and his wife Susan (Irvine) of Merrimac Everett A. Poor and his wife Kelly (McLaughlin) of Merrimac her grandchildren, Alicia Morecroft, Ashley James, Samantha James, Adin Poor, Andrew Poor, Russell Poor, Cassandra Morse, Kelly Morse one great grandchildren, James Chaloner her siblings, Walter Deth, Roberta Deth, David Deth, Rupert Deth and Kenneth Deth and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Raymond, Albert Deth, Dorothy Deth and James Deth.There will be no services. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
