Haverhill \u2013 Ronald W. J. Norton, 71, husband of the late Penelope A. (McKenney) Norton, passed away at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill surrounded by his loving family.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Clarence A. and Lorraine (Perry) Norton. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Ronald was employed as a Technician with the former Stan Fran Cable and Times Mirror. He enjoyed golfing and playing solitaire on his computer. Ronald loved gatherings with family and friends at his home and traveled to New York to visit extended family. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, the joy of his life were his grandsons. He loved to follow Ryan\u2019s baseball games and listen to Zach\u2019s music. Ronald will be missed by all who knew and loved him.Ronald is survived by his children, Scott P. Norton of Haverhill Kimberly J. Zappala-Norton of Bradford brothers, Harold \u201cHarry\u201d Norton of Haverhill sisters, Diane Borowy of Newton, NH Janet Perrone and her husband Gregory of Haverhill Delores Butterfield and her husband Peter Amy Garrett and her husband Scott of Haverhill 2 beloved grandsons, Ryan Goudreault and Zachary Norton several cousins, nieces and nephews He was predeceased by his sister in law, Judy (Comeau) Norton.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, January 15 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be on Wednesday morning at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose Street, Haverhill.
