Haverhill – James H. Williams, 79, husband of Constance T. (Ouellette) Williams, passed away February 17, 2019 at Cedarview Nursing Home in Methuen with his loving family by his side.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Andrew and Edna (McInnis) Williams. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1956. He was a home builder, owner of Jim Williams Builders and built homes throughout New England. James received the New England Home Builder of the Year award in 1983. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed boating on his many Boston Whalers, camping, fly fishing and hunting in Canada. James played the guitar and loved traditional country music. He traveled throughout New England to many Bluegrass festivals. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who was loved by all who knew him and he will be dearly missed.In addition to his loving wife Connie of over 60 years, he is survived by his children, Daniel J. Williams and his wife Karyn M. of Haverhill Michael A. Williams and his wife Stacey L. of Methuen four grandchildren, Lindsay Williams and her wife Kayla of Groveland Courtney Y. Williams of Haverhill Joshua A. Williams of Haverhill Justine N. Williams of No. Andover two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Chase Williams step grandchildren, Timothy Davis, Ryan Davis and Lauren Herrin sister, Norma Riley of Haverhill and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Catherine \u201cKay\u201d Cashman brothers, John, Richard and Robert Williams.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, February 28 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Friday morning at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick\u2019s Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children\u2019s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
