Haverhill – Benjamin D. Ciaramitaro, 65, husband of Marie (Maxwell) Ciaramitaro, passed away at his home November 23, 2017 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Stephen and Paula (Palazzolo) Ciaramitaro. Raised and educated in Saugus, he was a graduate of Saugus High School, Class of 1970. Benjamin worked as a maintenance mechanic and welder. He was employed at Foss Manufacturing. Known for having a great sense of humor and a great sense of adventure, he could light up a room just by walking in. Benjamin enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas for Superbowl, Maine, Washington DC and Disneyworld in Florida. Goofy was his favorite Disney character of all. He was an animal lover, especially dogs and cats. Benjamin enjoyed camping and hunting in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He was an avid Boston sports fan, following his favorite teams. Benjamin loved his Corvette and all classic cars. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.


In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Benjamin D. Ciaramitaro II and his wife Kelly of Amesbury; Michael M. Ciaramitaro of Clinton,MA; Rachel F. Ciaramitaro and her fiancé` David Panciotti of Derry, NH; four brothers, Joseph Ciaramitaro of Crystal River, FL; Stephen Ciaramitaro of Rowley; Anthony Ciaramitaro and his wife Anne of Lynn; Paul Ciaramitaro and his wife Dorothy of Saugus; godson Stevie Hyatt, goddaughters Phira and Rathny Cheep; godgrandchildren  Kyle Chan and Quinsey Kim; nieces and nephews include, Georgette, Jennifer, Desire’e, Cassey, Courtney, Paul Jr. goddaughter Jordan, Stephen,Steven C, greatnephews Raja and Cameron.


Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, November 26 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
