Daniel Brent

Daniel F. Brent, 61, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on Thursday August 30, 2018 shortly after being diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis.Born in Haverhill, July 8, 1957, he was the son of the late Frederick S. and Agnes (Shanahan) Brent. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School. Before his retirement, Dan was a much sought-after barber who worked locally and in the Boston area. He had a very creative mind which he expressed in his drawings, paintings, and interior designs. His love of animals was unsurpassed, especially for his dogs, Sleven and Bette. He leaves his partner and husband of 25 years, Norman Pratt of St. Petersburg, Florida, three sisters Kathryn (Michael) Simonds of Haverhill, Barbara Mitchell of Haverhill and Judith (Chuck) Russo of Methuen, Two brothers John (Maureen) Brent of Fairlawn, New Jersey and Joseph (Jacqui) Brent of Haverhill. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Diane (Arthur) Bourbeau of Methuen, his aunt Mary (Shanahan) Cleary and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dan was predeceased by his sister Mary Brent and his brother Michael Brent. The services for Dan will be private. Arrangements by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
