Bradford – John A. Lapierre, 69, husband of the late Patricia Anne (Witty) Lapierre, passed away at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton on December 6, 2018, with his loving family by his side.Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Oscar N. and Theresa M. (Ward) Lapierre. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School in Haverhill. John served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 until 1971 and was honorably discharged. He was employed at Lucent Technologies for many years as a Mechanic and worked as a Custodian for the Haverhill School system and Salem, NH School system. With his charming personality and great sense of humor, he could be seen enjoying lobster and ice cream at local venues. John took many trips driving up and down the East coast. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.John is survived by his children, Angela J. Goodwin and her husband Tony J. of Epping, NH Adam G. Lapierre and his wife Melissa A. of Derry, NH Beth W. Lapierre of Haverhill six beloved grandchildren, Jacqueline DeMarco, Matthew Lapierre, Gregory Aasen, Justin Lapierre, Zackery Pelfrey, Natalie Lapierre his brother Richard Lapierre and his wife Joan of Naples, FL his sister, Susan Wollitz and her husband Curtis of Leland, NC and several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, December 11 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday morning at 9:00AM at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at the St. James Church, Winter Street, Haverhill.
