Haverhill – Ryan J. Powers, 39, passed away suddenly on May 11, 2019 in Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of John F. “Jack” Powers, Jr. and Catherine T. (Rodgers) Powers of Lawrence. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Whittier Technological School, Class of 1998, where he studied Masonry. Ryan was employed at Metal Crafters in Methuen for 12 years as a Material Handler. He was a fan of Mixed Martial Arts and followed the sport for many years. Ryan was well known for playing jokes and pranks and for his great sense of humor. Family was important to him and he enjoyed spending time at gatherings and holidays. He loved his family and friends and they loved him and will miss him dearly.

Ryan is survived by his loving parents, John F. “Jack” Powers, Jr. and Catherine T. (Rodgers) Powers of Lawrence; brothers, Derek H. Powers and Lisa Hubley of Haverhill; Michael P. Powers and his wife Heather (Johns) of Haverhill; Sean P. Powers of Danvers; his niece, Kenzie Powers; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

    My prayers are with your family. I fondly remember Gene as a great beat cop in the Bradford area of Haverhill. He was so kind and fair to us kids back in the 70’s & 80’s. We would hang with him at times and he always had a story or jokes to tell. RIP

    My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. Ryan was a great kid, I worked with him for 12 years and I will miss his humor and smile he brought to work every day. Rest in peace big guy!!!

    My condolence go out to your family. I worked with Ryan at Metalcrafters for many years on second shift. I will miss his humour and the fun times we had on second shift. Rest in peace Ryan you will be missed.
