Haverhill – Shirley R. (Carr) Tilton, 89, wife of the late Omar E. Tilton, Sr., passed away October 27, 2018 at Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill with her loving family by her side.Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth P. (Packer) Carr. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she attended Haverhill schools. Shirley was employed at the former Western Electric before raising her family. She was an avid reader who enjoyed sewing, cooking and square dancing. Shirley loved travelling to the local beaches and the mountains. She was a member of the West Congregational Church in Haverhill and sang in the choir. Shirley will be missed by all who knew and loved her.Shirley is survived by her children, Omar E. Tilton, Jr. of Haverhill Valerie Joy Tilton of Haverhill a brother, Robert Bruedle four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Edmund Bruedle and sister Janet Guzeski.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 31 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B.
