Stephen Bradley West

Stephen “Bradley” West, 70, passed away May 6, 2019 at his home.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Robert E. and JoAnn R. (Milnes) West. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1966. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving for three tours of duty during the Vietnam War and receiving a Purple Heart. Brad was the Head Grounds Keeper for many years at the Merrimack Valley Golf Course. He was a business partner for 20 years with Brian Brooks in the hair replacement industry, Bobkin Incorporated out of Boston. An avid deep sea fisherman, he spent many winters in Costa Rica, enjoying nature and the outdoors. Brad loved helping people anyway he could. Known for his sarcastic wit and unique humor, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Brad is survived by his sisters, Sandra Simmons of Haverhill; Deborah Church and her husband James of Kingston, NH; brother Scott West and his wife Renee of Kingston, NH; several nieces and nephews; two special friends, Frank Ryan and George Katter. He was predeceased by his sister Nancy West, brother Richard West and niece Katie West.

    Bernie, you are missed throughout the Merrimack Valley Hospital. I will miss you stopping by my office to say “How’s Tina today?”” You will be remembered for always willing to lend a helping hand
