Haverhill – John D. Crawford, 89, husband of Mitzy (Inez) Crawford, passed away October 12, 2019 at Hannah Duston Healthcare in Haverhill surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late John and Inez (Clark) Crawford. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served his country during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. John was employed as a Supervisor of Security for Service Master. Known as a true gentleman, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who treated his stepchildren as his own. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his loving wife, John is survived by his children, Kevin Crawford and his wife Katrina of FL; Kraig Crawford of MD; Leah Crawford of NY; his stepchildren, Jose Ocasio of CA; Maria Caceres of Haverhill; Juan Ocasio of Framingham; Mavel Ocasio of Haverhill; twenty five grandchildren and many extended family.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 16 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 7:00PM. Burial will be on Thursday in New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH at 12:00 Noon.
