Big enough to serve you, small enough to know you.

In Loving Memory of Richard Thomas

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Richard Thomas, a beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend whose life was taken far too soon. Richard was a man defined by his strength, resilience, intelligence, and above all, his deeply caring heart.

Richard was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His generosity knew no limits, and his compassion touched the lives of so many. He lived his life putting others before himself, always willing to lend a hand, offer guidance, or simply be there when someone needed him most. To know Richard was to know loyalty and unconditional love. Above all else, Richard was devoted to his family. He dedicated his life to those he loved, and nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by them. He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Haley and Mila Thomas, and a deeply cherished grandfather to his grandson, Richard Thomas, who brought immeasurable pride and happiness to his life. He is also lovingly survived by his mother, Wendy Johnson, whose love remained a constant source of strength throughout his life.

Richard found happiness in life’s simplest but most meaningful moments — spending time with his family, traveling, and escaping to his camp in the White Mountains, a place that brought him peace and comfort. Those moments created memories that his family will hold close forever. Richard was not only a dedicated family man, but a friend to all who knew him. His presence could light a room, his wisdom could comfort a troubled heart, and his love left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though his time here was far too brief, the love Richard gave so freely will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He was deeply loved, and his absence is felt more than words can ever express. He will be forever loved, forever remembered, and overwhelmingly missed.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, May 31st from 1PM until 3PM followed by a funeral home chapel service at 3PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main street, Haverhill. Please visit www.comeaufuneral.com or Comeau Funeral Home on Facebook.
