Marie E. (Gebala) Quigg, 76

Marie E. (Gebala) Quigg, 76, of Haverhill passed away peacefully holding her daughters hand at her home on June 26, 2026.

Marie was born in Haverhill on March 24, 1950; she was the daughter of Chester J. and Claire J. (Pelletier) Gebala and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1968. Marie was a lifelong resident of Haverhill and worked for many years as a bus driver for Haverhill and Methuen Schools. Friends and family were amazed at her cooking and artistry. Peanut butter cookies and hamburgers would bring many visitors. Her art ranged from wood burning to oil painting and she loved to travel. Belgrade Lakes and Greenville Maine was a yearly trip. She had a love for so many things. Her church was very high on her list of love and her faith was outstanding and inspiring. We couldn’t have asked for a better mom – so even keeled all the time. Her personality was gentle, kind and nurturing, always supportive and the most loving individual – a Queen. Marie survived ovarian cancer within the past year, and she fought to come back from a stroke but God saw she was tired and called her home.

Marie is survived by her daughters Kristie M. Quigg-Smedile and her children Jacquelyn, Michael, and Izabella; Karen Daviduk and her children Aaron, Phoebe, Autumn, Joshua, Emma, Lily, and Noah of Hampstead, NH; and Renee and Kevin Bellavance and their children Shannon and Ethan of No. Hampton, NH. She also leaves behind her great grandsons Carter-Jayce and Paxton Smedile, and great grand daughter Jade Barber. She was predeceased by her husband Edward F. Quigg, and son in law Alan Daviduk.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, July 7th from 9:30AM until 10:30AM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. A funeral mass will be held at 11AM at Rehoboth Lighthouse Full Gospel Church, 409 Washington Street, Haverhill. Burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
