Sarasue (Mueller) Dick, 75

HAVERHILL – Sarasue (Mueller) Dick (75) formerly of Haverhill, Ma, died peacefully with her family by her side while under the care and support from Tuft’s Care at Home and Hospice on Saturday July 11, 2026.

Born in Goffstown, NH on November 4, 1950 she was the daughter of William O. and Mary Alice (McGuigan) Mueller of Manchester, NH.  She grew up in Rockport, Ma along with her brother William.

Sarasue thrived on learning, being creative and distinguished herself as an independent, hard-working young woman.  She was an Honor Student at St. Ann’s Catholic high school in Gloucester, while at the same time washing dishes at The Rudder in Rocky Neck (where she met Judy Garland in the early 1960’s). She graduated and the family moved to Andover, Ma where she accepted a job as the Banquet Manager for the Merrimack Valley Motor Inn.  She soon discovered she had a passion for serving the needs of others and decided Nursing was the profession she would pursue.  She graduated from the Northern Essex Community College nursing program and enrolled in Regis College graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Sarasue had a long and varied nursing career focused on caring for the elderly in hospitals, nursing homes and home care in the Merrimack Valley and North Shore while she raised 3 children. She was well known as a compassionate, supportive professional with a vast knowledge of community resources for those in need. Her crowning achievement was working at Lawrence General Hospital in various capacities for nearly20 years, most notably in the Social Services case management department.

She went on to use her knowledge of the community working for Home Health VNA and Hospice, Lawrence, Ma and later joined the Whittier Health Network creating and establishing their Whittier home health care agency.  In the latter part of her career, she worked at Pentucket Medical Associates in Haverhill and Holy Family and Merrimack Valley hospitals as their community- based nurse case manager, providing guidance and support to the elderly and their families in the home.  She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for Seniors.

Sarasue loved being with her family. She and her husband Alan raised 3 children together in Haverhill, Ma and was always happiest when entertaining, planning and cooking a gourmet meal for everyone. In her free time, she was a voracious bookworm and loved consuming a good mystery.  She enjoyed taking a Caribbean cruise, traveling to Europe as well as many areas across the United States and Canada.  Gardening was her spring/summertime passion. Sarasue touched the lives of many with her warm smile, sincerity and compassionate giving heart. She is survived by sons Andrew and wife Alyssa of Merrimac, Ma, Thomas of Newport, NC, and daughter, Katelyn and husband Kevin Winship of Haverhill, Ma.  and her 4 grandchildren, Mason Winship, Abigail Winship-Thompson, Andrew Dick, James Dick and great grandchildren, Kingston Winship and Ellerie Winship.

Other surviving family members include her brother William Mueller and wife Pamela of Durham, NH and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Family and friends are invited to a brief visitation held on Friday, July 17th from 11AM until 1PM  at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill Ma, 01830.
