Big enough to serve you, small enough to know you.

Aurelia M. Chicarello, 72

Aurelia M. Chicarello, 72, of Groveland passed away on August 10, 2026 in Andover.

She was born in Ponta Delgada, Portugal on May 23, 1954 to Aurielo Silva and Adrianna (Silva) Barletta. Aurelia came to this country in 1967 from Portugal and grew up in Cambridge. She raised her family in Andover and finally settled in Groveland until the loss of her beloved husband Len. She worked for Home Interiors as well as a law firm for many years. She especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. They brought her endless joy, and she cherished every moment with them—the laughter, the conversations, and the memories they created together. Her love for them was a beautiful gift that will stay with them throughout their lives.

In her spare time, she loved to craft and found happiness in creating beautiful things with her hands, always putting thought, care, and love into everything she made. Her creativity was a reflection of her thoughtful and loving nature, and many of the things she created will remain treasured reminders of her. She was especially proud of all the flower arrangements she made for all 3 of her sons weddings.  Her greatest gift was the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind not only the things she created, but countless memories in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Aurelia is survived by her sons Scott and wife Lindsey Chicarello of Groveland, Stephen and wife Michaela Chicarello of Saugus, and Sean and wife Virginia Chicarello of Haverhill. She also leaves behind her sisters Maria Silva of Lynn and Ana Fagundes of Everett, and her 3 wonderful grandchildren Scott, Grayson and Gemma, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard J. Chicarello and her sister Helena Moreira and her mother Adriana Barletta, and Niece Nicole Chicarello.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, August 23rd from 11AM until 2PM followed by a funeral home chapel service at 2PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Burial at a later date. Please visit Comeau Funeral Home on Facebook or visit www.comeaufuneral.com
