Donald Mark Worcester, 71

HAVERHILL – Donald Mark Worcester, 71, of Haverhill passed away on Sept. 3, 2026, surrounded by family at his home in Haverhill.

“Mark,” as he was known, was born in Malden on March 11, 1955, to Leo J. and Marie B. (Lind) Worcester and was a graduate of the Malden High School Class of 1973. He owned and worked locally at his business, Mark Worcester Plastering, for many years.

Mark enjoyed camping and watching his children’s sporting events. He was very active in the St. Basil’s Cursillo community, serving on many teams both at the center and in the prisons. He was a fan of the New England Patriots, celebrating the team’s many Super Bowl victories and collecting hats, posters and other team memorabilia.

Mark was also a “friend of Bill W’’ for more than three decades, supporting and mentoring other members of the organization. He died after a long battle with dementia.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Mark is survived by wife Barbara J. (Habeeb) Worcester of Haverhill and their four children: Donald Mark Worcester Jr. of Haverhill; Julie A. Jope and her partner, Nicholas Couture, of Salem, N.H.; Leo R. Worcester and his wife, Brianna, of Hooksett, N.H.; and Hope M. Cossu and her husband, Garrison, of Haverhill. Mark is also survived by five grandchildren: Jaycie Jope, Hunter Jope, Ella Couture, Peyton Worcester and Lucy Worcester.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, Sept. 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
