HAVERHILL – Clifton H. Perkins, Jr., 74, of Haverhill, beloved husband of Sandra J. (Gilfus) Perkins, passed way unexpectedly at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill on October 24.
Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Clifton H. Perkins, Sr. and Mary D. (Briggs) Perkins. Raised in Plaistow, New Hampshire, he attended local schools and graduated from Timberlane Regional High School in 1971. Cliff worked as a tester for AT&T and Lucent Technologies for 24 years before joining Allied Universal Security Company, where he served as a security officer for 14 years.
A devoted husband, father, and son, Cliff enjoyed traveling with his family, particularly on cruises and trips to Disney World. He also cherished his classic 1957 Chevrolet and had a special fondness for the Old West, including Western movies and television shows. When it came to dessert there wasn’t a cake from Mike’s Pastry or a cholocalete mousse from Tatte Bakery that Cliff would pass up.
He leaves his loving wife of 53 years, Sandra J. (Gilfus) Perkins, and his cherished son Matthew C. Perkins, both of Haverhill, as well as his brother, Dee Perkins who resides in Maine.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. For additional information please visit Comeau Funeral Home on Facebook or www.comeaufuneral.com
