August 29, 2020 at 3:56 pmMary Ann- so sorry for your loss. I met your mother at the IRS many, many years ago and we remained friends until her passing. Your mother had a wonderful sense of humor and was so much fun to be with. When we were working back in Lowell at CrossPoint, I got to enjoy our afternoon breaks together talking about everything under the sun and believe me we could both talk. Your parents were extremely proud of you and loved you so much. You can take comfort knowing you were a wonderful daughter to both of them. I will remember you and your mother in my prayers and I will truly miss her.

August 29, 2020 at 11:58 pmMary Ann – Mary Jane was one of my oldest and dearest friends, we go back almost 70 years. I remember the fun times growing up on Portland Street, she lived around the corner on 5th Ave. I remember the fun times as teenagers and then later in life after she was married to your dad. I remember the many trips we took together….so many great memories! I will miss not having her in my life. She’s gone too soon.

August 30, 2020 at 2:17 pmMary Ann. So very sorry for your loss. I worked with your mom at the IRS. I will always remember her laughter and jokes. She loved to take walks at lunch and breaks and spoke about her many travels. We did have lunch after her retirement and I often ran into her at MB. She will be missed and gone too soon.

August 30, 2020 at 3:01 pmIt began 25 years ago with : Hi I am Mary and thus it went along. Mary Ann the loss of your mother is way too soon. I am so ever thankful we had just got together for lunch a couple of weeks ago. Over 25 years, your Mom laughed, joked, got serious and showed her devotion to you and your father. With my hubby, and your folks we traveled via bus and cruises. Her stature, her heels, her dresses all added up to her presence. She lived life strong, she loved you to infinity, she missed your Dad a lot and in the end, she was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, and mother. But she also was a tremendous friend and I will forever miss her! We never said goodbye when parting. Instead, we always said: talk soon, or call you soon. My dear friend Mary, rest, your hard work shows.

August 30, 2020 at 8:45 pmMary Ann, I am so very sad to hear of Mary Jane’s death – your devoted mother and our vivacious and fun loving cousin. I have fond memories of my many visits with her, both in the USA and here in Ireland – when she visited Acres and the extended Dorgan cousins. Sylvie and I received a great welcome and hospitality from her and your Dad at their home in Atkinson on our last trip to the US and Mass. May they both rest in peace now…ni crioch ach aith fhas…
